1. What is the technical difference between Standard and FCF/BF Oil? [+]
The primary difference lies in the furocoumarin content (mainly bergaptene). Standard oil is cold-pressed and retains the full phytocomplex, including phototoxic compounds. FCF/BF (Furocoumarin Free / Bergaptene Free) oil undergoes an additional vacuum physical redistillation process to remove these molecules, making it safe for "leave-on" cosmetic applications (creams, perfumes) exposed to sunlight.
2. How do you guarantee the quality of cold-pressing? [+]
We use exclusively mechanical methods at low temperatures (below 25°C) to extract oil from the peel's oil glands. This process preserves the integrity of monoterpenes (Limonene) and esters (Linalyl Acetate), ensuring a superior aromatic and therapeutic profile compared to industrial high-yield extractions.
3. Traceability and ICEA Organic Certification [+]
Our entire production is ICEA certified organic. Every batch is traced from the specific agricultural plot in Reggio Calabria to the final packaging. We provide Transaction Certificates upon request to confirm organic authenticity and the total absence of synthetic pesticides or contaminants.
4. What documentation do you provide for the cosmetic sector? [+]
For each batch, we provide a full technical dossier: Technical Data Sheet (TDS) with GC-MS analysis detailing molecular peaks, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) compliant with REACH regulations, and a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) confirming density, refractive index, and optical rotation.
5. Is the FCF/BF oil compliant with IFRA Standards? [+]
Absolutely. Our Bergamot Oil FCF/BF is processed specifically to meet IFRA requirements for leave-on products. By reducing Bergaptene to non-detectable levels (< 0.001%), it allows formulators to use higher concentrations of Bergamot without exceeding phototoxicity limits.
6. What is the shelf life and recommended storage? [+]
Our essential oils have a shelf life of 24 months. To prevent oxidation, they should be stored in a cool, dry place (ideally 5-15°C), away from direct sunlight and in tightly sealed, amber glass or certified aluminum containers. Avoid thermal shocks to maintain the integrity of the aromatic esters.
7. Environmental Impact and Circular Economy [+]
Bioassoberg operates with a zero-waste philosophy. Beyond our primary oil extraction, the residual biomass is repurposed for organic soil fertilization or further processed into secondary derivatives, ensuring that our presence in Reggio Calabria enhances biodiversity and protects the local ecosystem.
8. Can we request laboratory samples for testing? [+]
Yes, we support R&D departments by providing 5ml or 10ml samples for analytical testing and formulation trials. For industrial orders, we offer various packaging formats (1kg, 5kg, 25kg, 50kg, 100kg, 180kg) with logistically optimized shipping to ensure the cold chain is respected where necessary.
